The Estancia ( a 6,000 acre working farm) is situated close to the city of Cordoba (50kms) on the top of the ”Sierras Chicas” about 3,000ft nestled between the Andes and Cordoba. It is about a one hour flight in from Buenos Aires. The main house dates back to 1769 and is steeped in family history; the Jesuits first organised the farming in this area.
The horses are responsive, sure footed, soft mouthed and well mannered. All are either Criollos or Paso Peruanos, and are all bred on the estancia. The horses are selected to suit the ability of the rider and beginners are welcome. Most of the riding is centred around the estancia life with occasional overnight excursion, with longer expeditions by arrangement. The locals are steady, respectful and gentle people the culture of the gaucho (local cowboy) and reverence of the horse is strong and bring with them the best traditions of Argentina.
Costs:Price person US$230-US$270 per night, all inclusive, meals and all activities and drinks. The price depends on the type of week chosen, i.e. whether it is trail ride, polo or estancia week. It excludes International flights, personal calls, insurance and gratuities.
